So during the time before Portal 2 was to be released, I decided to buy a game to pass the time. When a thread in the Valve games and mod section about SiN popped up, I was interested.
I instantly fell in love with SiN: Episodes Emergence when I started playing it. Models were great, voice acting was great, mapping was great - it was good, even though it's old and dying seeing as the other nine episodes will never be released.
When I saw the SDK was available for download in the tools section, I gave it a go. While there are some major differences between it and the main SDKs (The overlay tool result being partictularly unexpected.) I have to say there's some potential in mapping and modding for it, still. Hell, in the right hands some unofficial episodes could be made.
But still, here's the question: Do you all think it's still worth mapping for?
Hadn't heard of it, Hadn't played it, and now that it is dead I never will (sadly[?]).
EDIT: Seeing how it's a paid game and looks like crap, I probably will have to confirm the above statement. It's just so... Sloppy, after seeing the trailer and gameplay of it.

I kinda guess Episode 1 was sort of a test for everything in Source and such.
And it isn't exactly dead. It's on a hiatus that'll probably never be lifted.

If you rest for eternity I would count you as dead. At least thats what dead usually is :v:
EDIT: Since you said that the editor layout was different, can you post a picture? I'm kinda' curious on how it looks.

Heh.
Seriously though, knowing full well it was pretty much on the verge of being cancelled anyways, the fact Episode 1 ends on a teaser for Episode 2 is kinda sad in retrospect.
Still, time to get back on topic.

And besides, it's shoddiness isn't exactly something to be detered by. Deus Ex had some shoddy looking stuff, and that's the game said to make somebody reinstall it whenever it gets mentioned.

I now also want a picture of Dues Ex's shoddy-ness. (:v:)
EDIT: It seems we are the only people interested in this Source game, seeing that we are the only posters.
I think it's worth mapping for there are lots of great stuff that aren't in other source engine games.. about the editor though, can't you just make a game configuration on the newer hammer editor?
