A sandbox map i made.
Square footage is as big as the source will let me make it.
Map has an extremely large tower in it. Along with a really deep pit and a "swimming pool" in the center which is really deep.
SkyBox is as High as the source engine will let me make it.

Look mommy! I can use the brush tool!
Finally been waiting for a fullbright map like this liek forever!
Congratulations on your first 5 minute map! :bravo:
Really, you should improve on some things such as:
-Make it less blocky. Add some slopes or something.
-Put lights in the map for crying out loud. Do you see any other good maps with lighting like that?
-Put more effort in to it. Looks like you made this in 5 minutes. Add some details and more things then just a really deep "pool" and tower.
My eyes are bleeding now.
Please add lights, better brush work, more useful things.... actually just delete the map and start over. You have like 10 brushes, no lights and no real use for this map besides another bad sandbox map to add the other 123130912380129309123 we have
We should have a list of all the fullbright maps that are in here, and add it to the list when someone posts one. So then we could just show them the list instead of repeating the same thing over and over again.
:effort:
All in all its about 16 brushes.

I counted a possible total of 11.
Ya it looks like real would download again
flat_wet V2.0 ?
Omg I think these days maps get names more stupid and stupid.
Also if this is v2 , Then I am affraid to look at v1 if it exists.
Omg.... it's.... beatiful!
I've been waiting for this kind of thing for sooooo long, thank god someone puts enough effort into hammer to create such a divine map. :D
Omg wtf is that?!
:| a sandbox simalar to this 'could' be interesting. but this one is bland looking and the tower is a bit to much.
What the deuce
Tell me if I'm wrong - everyone on facepunch's mapping section could make a map like this.
I don't think I could make one this bad if I tried.

MIND FUCK
gm_flat_shit v2.0
Flat crap :\.
Actually there is only 11 :D, if you count the skybox. The map was not made to be pretty, its made to serve a purpose, wich it does vary well, without a lot of resource usage its only 2 mb in size.
the map lighting is just fine maybe you should try the map before griping about the lighting. (there is more then enough).
Serves it's purpose, if you wanted to make my eyes bleed why didn't you just shine a laser into my eye.

And I'm supposed to care? if you don't like it, don't use it. its your choice.

No, it really isn't fine. There is NO lighting that's why it's fullbright. -.-
Atleast make an original build map, or atleast a good map that has something interesting to do..
nice textures.. their wrong.. but they are nice...
Not really, Dev textures... lazy way out of texturing and for this map it also adds more to the eye bleeding brightness.
I just waisted 5 minutes of my life trying to think of something nice to say about this map ....nothing
I say! That first picture is a illusion! Coolo. But.. Fullbright... Pretty much flatgrass with the block turned into water.
Ok, seeing as you're trying to cover up your map by saying "it's not meant to look pretty" i shall try to reason with you in a different approach.
1: you're brush work is out of wack, majorly.
Hardly any of your brushes match up with the grid, and it's completely unorganized

Ex1:

As you notice most of your brushes are not on the grid, and could possibly miss the others resulting in leakages.

Hammer has mutli color lines/darkend ones for reasons, they give you a great way to make your map look neat and orderly.

Ex3:

As you can see the purple and green lines mark off the darker lines on the grid (being 8 units apart), it's a great habit to have if you make sure your brushes match up and are on line with the guide lines that hammer provides you. Also, 2 unit thick walls isn't the best way to go, specially organization wise. Good unit to use when making walls is about 8 units.
2: Your Water is all wrong, you might receive errors or graphical bugs. when you make a water brush, make sure to make the entire brush no draw, EXCEPT for the top which would be the water texture.
Finally we're all here to help. Don't take criticism harshly, we're not here to bust your balls (well some people are) but a lot of us are here to help and make you a better mapper over all.
Also, there's no reason NOT to put a light_environment it's one entity and you don't have to do much to it, and it makes your map look tons better, even if the brush work is horrible.
And here are some useful tutorials. Valve Developer Community has a great beginner tutorials
