Hi, i am currently making a map for garrys mod and i am using the HL2 episode1 : HL2 deathmatch configuration, but at the moment i can only use hl2 props for the map so i downloaded GCFScape and located all css props, so i the cs_assault props to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\peggygirl\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2\Models\props\cs_assault
but when i browse for props in hammer the cs_assault props come up as purple and black squares, can anyone help me please?

You need to extract the materials that go with the props too.
Usually these are in the materials/models folder from the same gcf pack (there's usually a models gcf and a materials one).
garrysmod/models <-- models go here
garrysmod/materials/models <-- materials to cover the models go here
Also, preserve the original path - don't make up your own folders because the model will look for it's material in a certain place using a relative path - if it can't find it you get pink/black.
e.g. if you are extracting hl2/models/props_combine you must put these in garrysmod/models/props_combine
