Hey guys sorry to make a new thread again but how do i make a texture eg. the road texture, fit the curve ?
If the road curve is an arch, texture the straight parts top surface with a road texture and center it, now while in face edit select that top face hold alt and right click on the side of that road part (yes the side face). Now select the textured side and repeate the alt step for each side part, now if you press one of the sides hold alt and right click on the top surface of that road part it will fit correctly.
There's a tutorial about it, can't remember where though.
Holy shit this is so useful. Thank you!
New mapping revelation for me.
That tutorial is pretty old, shame it doesn't seem that people read a bunch of tutorials for fun anymore.
I wish Hammer allowed you to manually edit the UV maps of a brush. It would make things like this line up so much nicer.

Then you wouldn't be able to tile textures.

Yes you would. UV coordinates extend beyond 1 you know.

I thought you were dead?
