To put it bluntly, they have shadows inbetween 2 displacements

Compiling with fast will cause this.
Make sure the displacements are lined up correctly as well.

Hmm... Have you tried compiling with final?

I think there was a thing that disables shadows..

Shadow_controller does that, but it does it to everything I believe.
Are they sewed?
I'm having the same problem.

Make sure only the top of the brushes are displacements. (The sides that aren't seen shouldn't be)
It is, only the top of the brushes.
make sure you don't select the whole brush, only the top in select mode in displacemnt.
Try selecting all the displacement faces and hooking them to a single smoothing group.
