How do I stop the camera view from spazzing around when I'm trying to view my map? I only managed to get it to grab the mouse once, the rest of the time it spins like crazy and I can't navigate at all. I must be doing something wrong. Any hints?
Thanks!
I don't think this is suppose to happen in Hammer. Re-install is my suggestion.

Some times when you tab or do something in other views while rotating the camera it will keep on spinning afterwards. To get it back to normal you can either press the buttons and see if it stops or just reopen hammer.
Thank goodness I'm not the only one. Pisses me off to no end when that happens.
What I do when that happens is I just go and click "Center 3D Views on Selection".
Thanks, I'll try it. I'm using Windows Server 2003 in VMware. It shouldn't affect it though...
This happened to me using the Orange Box config. Unfortunately I can only provide trivial solutions (Don't use OB config, reinstall, update drivers, etc.).

You navigate the camera view using the mouse? I just use the WASD keys and the arrow keys. Did you by ant chance hit the Z key? It toggles the camera's view from being moved by the arrow keys to following the mouse.
I don't fully understand the problem; it's never happened to me before. What exactly do you mean by "grab the mouse" by the way?
If the camera keeps spinning, hit WASD, All the arrow keys and try clicking on something. It should stop. It's never happened for be on the OB, only the Ep1 engine
Press alt.
I'll try a few of those things and if it fixes it, I'll post the fix here, thanks for the suggestions so far!
I'm thinking it might be Z...
EDIT: YAY IT WORKS!!! IT WAS Z.. I needed to press that to toggle the mouse grab (as suggested by cplhertelmt)
:D Thanks for the help guys and girls! Now I can continue my first map ^_^
