As the title says, I am looking for some of the vortigaunt quotes and portal storm noises for a map I am making but when I check the episode 2 content gcf, I see only a couple of sound files are there. Am I looking in the wrong file or is the content in a vpk of sorts, like with left 4 dead? Or is something wrong?
If your going directly into your folder (I assume your using the gcf tool), the folder your looking for, if I'm not mistaken is called "Source Sounds". It will be located in your "Steam\steamapps" folder. It is a gcf folder. Hope that helps.
That folder is just the HL2 sounds, I searched it as well.

half-life 2 episode two english.gcf
Should be in one of those.
