Is there any way I can get rid off these? I have tried everything! editing the .vmt file, and I cant use a different material because I cant find a sand material without these grass sprites.
Nature/blendsandgrass008a
Nature/blendsandsand008a
These both have this grass sprite.
Thanks!
Try looking at material editor-> displacements tab, and search for them!
"%detailtype" "coastline_grass01"
I think you have to delete that line from the .vmt.

I did that and it didn't do any thing.

What do you mean? Search for what?

I found out what it was!
thanks anyways!
Just some knowledge for the future, those sprites are placed during compile, so you need to remove them from the texture, then compile the map.
Could someone explain how to make sand like that, near the water? :S
And not repeat itself all over the ground.

Make sure you're using displacements for the ground. Search for 'blend' in texture browser, choose one you'd like. In displacements tab, select the entire ground. Now use the paint alpha tool. Use mouse1 and mouse2 to shift from the two blended textures.
