I had this problem, I turned down a certain setting, But i forgot how... Light maps i think
Lower the lightmap grid on all of those faces (right click the camera label on the top left corner of the 3d view, click on 3d lightmap grid to see the lightmap grid, Open up the Face Edit Sheet (the window that you use to texture faces) and select all 4 faces, and on the top right of that window there should be a lightmap scale setting, lower it.) Lower values add more blocks to the surface, which increase the amount of time VRAD takes to compute lighting, but in turn, you will have more detailed and more accurate shadows.
Are the walls func_detail? If so, this will happen since VBSP doesn't cut the geometry func_detail touches.
