Gm_reaction takes on the Rp theme as well has having construction qualities. The theme is that of a logged environment. There are still forests but vast amounts of area have been cleared. However the combine, after finding out that the rebels had a secret underground base and were using the funds from logging to pay for their rebellious expenses, decide to invade and kill anyone in the path leaving the buildings intact. The map is the end result after this invasion. [B]The map has many features which are listed below:[/B] -Lighting -Water -Custom Textures -Skybox -3dSkybox -Mountains -Open grassland -Barns and houses -Bunker -Cave -Cinematic scene -Npc Nodes -Strider Path Nodes -HDR -Fog -Ambient sounds There are a lot more but cbf typing them. There is also an [B]Easter egg[/B]. First one to work it out and post in this thread will get credits to finding it. [B]Now this is important[/B]. I would like to put together a team that could help me produce and episode 2 adapted version. If you are interested please post in this thread. HOLY FUCK... IT'S RELEASED!!!
Welp, besides the anti-noclipped room with the Rebels in it, and the room in the battle house behind the boards, I haven't found anything special. Edit: The battle house room is anti-noclipped, until you push the button to summon the striders. After which, it's no longer no-clipped, but the button inside doesn't do anything anyway. Looks like the strider-combine battle sequence can only be triggered once. After waiting ten minutes, I've given up hoping the klaxon will stop and that those buttons will be useful ever again. The room with the rebels is anti-noclipped until you put a key in the slot outside. Turns out that key can be anything, I just bumped a phx prop at it and it unlocked the door. Inside's a standard series of prefab block spawn buttons. You know, rectangle, triangle, circle, etc. I haven't been able to find a 'real' key anywhere.
I have found the Easter Egg. It took a while to figure out but i solved it. In the battle house, I switched the switch to begin the combine assault. I then continued through a hidden vent in the room. I then found the hidden box in the cave, which contained the keycard to open the door. This box was unlocked in the hidden vent room by another switch. The door has 5 citizens. Also in the room is a panel which spawns different size and shape props.

It would off took me about 24 hours just to get rid of the error "engine hunk overflow" which is what the map is rendering. I ended up getting the vvis to compile on normal in 30 seconds so it's also well optimized.
