I'm a community owner currently working on a server, and we need a custom map. The server's lore takes place in Iceland after a volcanic eruption. We'd need a rather large surface map, with details pointed out here; http://pastebin.com/Ee92QsqW.
There's already an offer to make the surface map, so I'm not sure if I'd accept another offer, unless it's better.
I would also like a second, underground map. It would involve a complex series of tunnels and carved out rooms that bandits and other factions might be lurking in. If anybody is interested, I can be contacted on steam here, and there, I would negotiate price and details.
So you want this?

Isn't that bit too large to be redone in hammer.
Yeh that is well to large. I'm doing the city of dublin and i can only do the main road in the center of dublin and that fills up hammer. Plus you optimisation the map very good and that would be difficult.
What about scaling everything down to 1/4, 1/8 etc?

Causes issues with the physics engine and performance optimization.

Yeah, it would obviously be scaled.
@oskutin Yep, but as said, scaled. The satellite map is just a general view of the area.
Edit: The "basic outline" thingy I provided in the pastebin is what I would actually like, I just provided the real life maps to get a feel for terrain.
Maximum area which can be done in Source:

If you where able to do that, it would take months with all that detail
Like I said, the map is there for the general terrain of Iceland. It will be scaled back largely, and the town won't be that big, either.
Anyway, our mapper is now working on this map, and I've found a mapper for the second map, so this thread can be ignored.
