How do I find out the number of specific entities I have in a map?

How do I find out how many info_overlays, prop_statics, or whatever entities I have in my map?

Counting them in the entity report is the fastest way I know of.

Oh thanks, it says the number of the selected objects I have at the bottom when I select them all in the entity report.

Oh good then, never really needed to count entities myself so i didn't even know that.

You could do that, or you could go to map>show information and just add up point entities and brush entities.
