Stop with the flatgrass maps, we have too many of them and it requires no true talent to make.
Looks ok, just add some better lighting. Above user is right though, I'm afraid. There are far too many flatgrass maps, but if you want to make one, noone is stopping you.
I'm sorry sane mappers I won't do it again, next time I'll avoid flat or grass in the title in future.

They said avoid flatgrass MAPS not TITLES.

That's the beauty.
This is Tri grass..
Therefore, different.
fwaar.
map look's pretty good compared to most grass maps. ;)
wow amazing, (people minds)
few days ago Gm_Unflatgrass now Gm_trigrass.
Btw it's same as normal flatgrass to me.
The grass and water areas in the same map is pretty handy, less switching maps for different things.
What would make this more unique though would be a large sky platform and/or underground in the grass area.
I think the water area should have more than one little dry place though, like make large build areas on the sides or in the corners of the map.
And optionally the novelty railroad tracks.
That would make this map awesomer than just a few flatgrasses in one map.
I'm not having a go, OP, but can't you see that they're are hundreds of shitty flatgrass replicas and even if there weren't, there's a gm_flatgrass that comes with GMod.
Why do you make maps that will just get flamed for being completely unoriginal and do something that will actually portray your mapping skill (assuming you have some).
Nobody and i mean nobody plays on flatgrass maps.
No serious server with owners that know what they are doing will be running a flatgrass map. Just saying. It'd be better if you made some maps that people will actually use.
Flatgrass map's serve no purpose. They are not multiplayer friendly since most shit can be viewed from across the map. You won't build cars on maps like this, you can't test suspensions and shit because there isn't a single hill. It's also very boring, Nothing pretty to look at. The lighting is not varied, meaning, you can't go under the roof to build in a darker environment and you can't go to a lit up place with lamps and shit.
People really prefer to play on maps like freespace or wirestruct. 1. Fills almost (or completely) the hammer grid and thus is very large. (Bigger than the original flatgrass ofcourse). 2. Is varied, City, Train rails, Water, Terrain, Undeground etc, Looks good.
I mean really, This is one of the maps you will never play on multiplayer. Imagine the lag having to see 5 parented tanks at the edge of the map if you look at the middle. Just an example. You get it, It's not smart. It's better for people to have the opinion to go away from everyone else, Seeing everyone or half of the people at the same is not a good idea. It's also a map you will never play in singleplayer because it looks boring. Freespace and wirestruct and maps like those aren't the most pretty maps, But they are very optimized though, and that matters alot, but not in singleplayer. You're computer can handle alot more in singleplayer. So when playing singleplayer, people will obviously choose a more pretty looking map.
TLDR; Nobody plays on flatgrass.
Thanks guys for the.. arhmm "positive" criticism. I'll be working hard version 1. Probably release in about a week.
I think you are missing the point. Make a new map that is not related to flatgrass, show off a little.
Ok I'll then be starting another project
and still thanks for the response.
You've obviously got at least some basic skills in Hammer, try practicing on a few reference photos, then start on a brand new map.
