• HL2 EP2 Engine - In game models are errors

I'm trying to make a forest in source sdk using the HL2 EP2 engine. In the Source SDK I can see the models, but when I load them into EP2, the models show up as errors. If anyone knows why this is happening and how I can fix it, that would be awesome. Edit: I really need help, can anyone tell me any ideas?

Assuming you did, due to seeing these models in Source SDK; If you're using any custom models/materials, make sure you've placed them into the game's directly. Re-compile it. Make sure you're putting the map in the right folder/starting the right game.. Delete the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\-Your_usename-\half-life 2 episode two' folder, start Episode two once. It'll re-generate this folder. Then, replace the map into the folder. Else, post the compile logs. [/code] P.S: Editing in /anything/ doesn't bump your thread, make people want to answer you any quicker, or anything else. If anything it looks mingy. How do i fix it? and strangely... gameinfo.txt is in the spot. OMFG, models arent even loading in CSS anymore.. wtf is going on?
I remember this error from somewhere, when I had it, and I can't remember how to fix it. My only suggestion for now is replace your gameinfo.txt, with this one; [url]http://www.mediafire.com/?0ovvwiy9ah9dy67[/url] Just copied and uploaded it. If you don't trust the file, I can upload it to some type of text uploader so you don't have to download anything. The issue with those though, is it usually fucks up the formatting. Ie; what can be key with these.

That's.. probably your issue then. You need to run the game that you compile it for. To double check, re-add the models you used as props to the game. Ie; C:SS won't have Episodes Two forest props, if you even used those. You need to add those models, materials, and whatever else you used to the game you're playing it in. Games don't magically get the resources you use in a map, into the actual game.
I know this... i was using different engines.. Its broken for all engines that I use.
That gamedata error is a non issue. It can be ignored.
Then... how can I fix my issue?
Have you tried verifying your cache
I did verify my cache for Hl2 ep2.
Are these custon models, or half life trees? Does it do it for any other props.
It does it for every single model now. I think I'm going to try deleting all my content from steam, cause I really want this to work.
