im helping a friend with a snowy map and i promised him that ill make him a particle effect, which i already have done and what not, but there are so many props and brushes in it that i want them to collide, so how can i do this?
Just pointing out that if you wanted full collisons that would be mega laggy.
nah just on brushes
PM the guy that made the dynamic water.
It'll be on page 3 - 5 or something now.
In the constraints options for the particle, add a repulse from world constraint and just make it repulse with 0 force.

Weren't there some people complaining about lag from that when they tried to create things like rivers?
Regardless, I can't see proper collisions like this working without a fair bit of lag involved. I would assume the more practical solution would be to delete the particles on contact, although that's probably not what you want.
thats better than then going through everything
This would lag, until you optimised the crap out of it, yes.
Maybe have it parented to the player or something and the particles fade after a few seconds.
