soo what do you think off it this far please only constructive critisism
Here's what I see and think about this.
- Everything is 32 units thick
- There are no frames for the windows and doors ( http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/6549 )
- Those stairs look funny, you should fix that as well ( http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/19881 )
- No light sources inside the buildings
- I can't tell, but I think that the env_light is just white, add a little color and give the map a distinct feel rather than flat white. ( http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/43310 )
I'm sure other people will find more, but I think those are the main things you should work on.
@Tangogorilla
- Everything is 32 units thick - i use 16 units for the most not 32

I'll check out the links and remember its just an wip map
"It's just a WIP map" isn't an excuse. You posted it here for CC and he gave it to you.
Also, the textures are horrible and the ceiling/floor/roof texture is disgusting.
I assume that's just a place holder, though.

I hate door frames like that. I never noticed them before I was a mapper, but now, in every map, I notice them.
Still, better than nothing.
Looks like a remarkably similar idea to a map I'm making, RP_Construct.

yeah...... i kinda got the idea from you :] but i hope it's okay and that you dont think i just copied the whole map. And i will be adding an lake to the map i think
Textures are foul. The roof texture should be used much more sparingly than you have used it (diamond grid pattern). I also suggest that you only used textures that are designed to be used inside within the buildings, not putting the same texture as on the outside (brick with moulding along the top). The green wire braced glass should be used for more industrial settings, not really civilian.
The grass outside is very flat and would benifit from some foliage and clutter. In act, the entire map needs clutter, light sources and detail. And saying it is a WIP is not good enough. If you posted it here, it is because you want C&C, not to make excuses.
the brick texture in side the newest building is just an place holder

Same, I make 8 unit thick walls with 4 unit thick frames.

Still making excuses?

I work in a 16 unit grid. To me, it's easier, cleaner, and you still get perfect results if you do it right.
And to the OP, your work is extremely blocky and terrible lighting. You have no window/door frames, and everything is very spaced out. Sorry for this criticism, but we all learn at some point, right? If this is your second map, I highly suggest you take a look at tutorials, or try and map using reference pictures.
Why does this look like the rp_construct W.I.P. map?

I always work in an 8 unit grid as 8 unit walls are always perfect.

I suspect it's because he "took inspiration" which is increasingly becoming another way of saying "ripping off".
Since you were inspired by the rp_construct map you have probably seen my post there, but i will post links here, because you do not have seem to take any notice of them.
