• Compiling HL2 map not working

I have a half life 2 map i have made. When i goto run the map in hammer i get an error saying game overlay : game UI. Something like that i cant remember i even tried to run some of the basic deafult maps they give you when you download source SDK. From what i know yesterday some type of update for source SDK came out and is probally the problem, is there a fix or am i doing something wrong. Something do to with the new game UI beta maybe ? I know this isnt the right section but just so i dont have to start a whole new thread what the hell do OIFY and NSFW mean ?

Have you tried launching hl2 from steam? Launching from hammer sometimes messes with stuff. Also, could you [noparse][code][/code][/noparse] that compile log?
i always run it through hammer..........i dont know what the second part even means
