I use TF2 textures and models in my map but when compiled, models shows up as "ERROR" in the map without any type of collision... Help? Note: I'm running it in singleplayer GMod so it's not the server...
do you have TF2?
He does have Team Fortress 2, check that TF2 is being loaded when GMod is run OP.
if you havent done it already, you could try to use packbsp or pakrat to put the models/materials in the map. or do what the above guy said if you did that already then i cant tell you whats wrong
Mounting hl2.. OK Mounting cstrike.. OK Mounting dod.. No permission Mounting ep2.. No permission Mounting tf.. OK Mounting episodic.. No permission Mounting hl2mp.. OK Mounting portal.. No permission Mounting lostcoast.. OK Mounting hl1.. No permission Mounting hl1mp.. No permission Mounting zeno_clash.. No permission K
TF2 is mounted. I think there's a problem compiling the map because there's no collision whatsoever with the models. Edit: I NEED HALP!
same with me [editline]9th March 2012[/editline] idk whats wrong
So the basics that we know are: 1) The models are working in the editor. 2) You own TF2 on your account. 3) The models are bugging up in garrysmod. From what I can tell, the problem might be that (possibly) you have used custom downloaded TF2 content that you got from other servers. Or that you renamed the model folder because of some error you wanted to undo a long time ago, and now your SourceSDK is referring to the folder "example", but your Garrysmod looks only in "examples" -Try checking if the models are not custom by renaming the "steamapps/username/teamfortress2/teamfortress" folder, after that start up TF2 once, steam will generate a new gamefile from scratch, then just go to the hammer editor and check the map by loading it from the renamed teamfortress folder. If that will not work either then I don't know what might help. Probably refreshing the SDK content or wiping the TeamFortress folder out, so steam can create a fresh one from the .gcf (Which would also erase all your content that is in there now, I suggest you use it as the last way out) :tinfoil:
