[b]The objective[/b]
The objective is to make a kickass arena map through creating an extension of the original ctf_2fort, by unlocking areas that had been previously closed off from gameplay (just like all of the other *_extended and *_unlimited maps).
[b]Why arena, and not CTF?[/b]
Two reasons; the main one being the fact that the outstanding scenery in the original 2fort is not symmetrical. BLU's external courtyard has garages, for example, while RED has barns placed in a completely different fashion. Due to this symmetry break, it wouldn't make sense to keep it as a CTF map. Oh yeah, and the second reason is obvious: who cares about capping on 2fort? Amirite? Needless to say, the [i]general[/i] symmetry will be up-kept as much as possible.

[b]Known issues[/b]
- Z-fighting terrains
- Some things don't have collisions
- Some places still have tiny nodraws showing
- Skybox needs to be extended
- Border between map and skybox needs to be severely improved
- [b]Things disappearing in the distance[/b] - this is because I will later need to zone out the fog controllers better (for a variable zfarclip). I'm afraid that the WIP/beta releases will have this for some time to come.
- A building behind red base is half invisible and has suckish collisions - Yup, that building model was meant for scenery. I will have to remake it from brushes later on :/

[b]Your input[/b]
It is crucial. This is why I made this thread during the WIP stage. The two things of most importance to me are:
- Reporting issues
- Suggestions for which areas I should unlock further. I kind of hit a creativity slump as of wip5 :v:
[b]Night?[/b]
Why, of course! Night map variants are my favorite. The final release will have both a regular and a night version!
[b]The newly playable areas are (so far):[/b]
- Courtyards are unlocked (no fences). From there, you can venture behind the bases, or go around them to get to the bridge area. This leads up to:
- The bridge area has been greatly expanded width-wise. You can go to the far sides of the bases, walk around them, and end up in the courtyards. I dubbed the hilly areas which lead to the courtyards as "Overpasses".
- The bases no longer have clips extending to the sky. This means that you can RJ/GJ/scout over the rooftops and proceed directly to the back areas / courtyards. There will be ways to access the rooftops for other classes via stairs/ladders, however.
- The "real" intelligence rooms have been unlocked. It's those giant rooms with rows of computers that you could only bask in the glory of through a window.
- Other rooms that you could only see through windows inside the bases.
