So I made this map for a mini-game on my server. It's an ocean theme with a small section where the players are and a 3dskybox just to make it look bigger. It looks perfect without the water, as you can see here. [img_thumb]http://www.blackopsservers.com/blackops/pics/pf_ocean_v20001.jpg[/img_thumb] When I add water it looks a little odd. Anything under the water doesn't seem to get rendered in the 3d skybox. [img_thumb]http://www.blackopsservers.com/blackops/pics/pf_ocean_v20002.jpg[/img_thumb] I have a feeling this is just a source limitation, but I figured I would ask anyway.
Shitty source limitation bit you in the ass.
Well that water texture does not tile very well. :barf: Water in the 3D skybox can't be seen through. Because there is no proper way to tell the compile tools that you are so far away from it, and then adjust the fog in the engine.
