• What the heck is a PVS?

I tried googling it, but I couldn't find anything substantial. I'm trying to make it so that enemies spawn and attack the player, but I have no idea what pvs is. Also, what is the command that shows info_node linking?

Plants Vs. Sombies. (User was banned for this post ("Help or don't post" - Terrenteller))
Was that necessary? It didn't help at all.
Potentially Visible Set. Basically it's why you run vVIS, it tells the engine not to render stuff you can't see basically. Optimisation usually centers around making sure the PVS performs best possible.

A wiki link isn't the best answer in the world. A tl;dr is always useful.
