Ok...you all know of me at least. Recently i have seen a lot of very dull looking maps, with no real thought put into the design of them. Also, we are probably going to get more and more as time goes on as the mac users come in to the field of being able to use their rig for more than a conversation piece.
So...i have a 3gb mapping folder and no use for it. Instead of letting the ideas decay and the theories contained within, i have decided to start releasing them. I have no idea what is in the vmf's and the first is a trial to test the water. The first one contains the vmf for a black mesa map (6 months work), as well as some gmdm maps that i never got round to releasing.
As far as what you do with them goes, i don't care. If you fix them up and release them, then just make sure i'm in the credits. If you use them for tutorials, then great. The file is 25mb, the next one is shaping up to be about 30-40mb and containing the vmf for rp_sanctuary...which has a very nice power system in it.
Most of these files have never seen the light of day, and some are quite old. The only checks i have done is to make sure that they are all mine...other than that, they could contain anything.
So...let the lucky dip begin!

Awesome! I won't be downloading since I always on my own but this is a very nice thing to do, hopefully maps quality on gmod.org will improve. :smile:
Well, that's nice of you.
Hopefully, we should get less maps that look like crap and more gm_botmaps if people can study your work to see what worked and what didn't.
This should help me greatly in improving the quality of my first map.

Archive Three is online. Looks like mostly sp stuff (l4d and hl2), a newer version of sanctuary that got scrapped and my mostly dead fallout: Van Buren map.
