• Mapping for the new CS:S engine?

Right now I am unable to edit my map I was working on before the update due to errors hammer is giving me when I try to use it. These are due to the update I am guessing, so has anyone found a workaround to this problem?
what specifically is the issue? You haven't specified exactly what is wrong. The "workaround" could range from anything between pressing "Reset Game Configurations" in the SDK menu to reinstalling the SDK to manually editing the VMF file because it has been corrupted. 1) Can you get to the SDK menu? 2) Are you running CS:S under Source Engine 2006 or Source Engine 2009? 3) Does hammer crash early in the VMF loading process? 4) When you open a new map in Hammer, does the grid appear strange or doesn't appear at all?
1)The SDK menu works. 2)Currently there is no option to run CS:S under the 2009 engine. (even after a SDK content refresh) 3)Hammer crashes due to fatal errors on the opening of any map, some are before hammer actually starts loading the maps. These are the two that I am getting trying to load the map I want to edit in specific. FATAL ERROR missing material 'editor/wireframe'. Go to tools|Options|Configurations and verify that your game directory is correct. This one is more map specific, but happens on any maps with models, it also happens in the map load rather than before. FATAL ERROR Model models/prop_wasteland/woodwall030b_window03a.mdl not found and models/error.mdl couldn't be loaded. This error crashes hammer, but the first one only screws up all view ports. 4)The grid appears strange and doesn't show anything in it nor the 3d view port, even if I create something in it. So my question is, has anyone figured out how to reconfigure counter strike source so you can map for it again?

Set your Game Executable to $SteamUserDir\counter-strike source What do you mean it doesn't work, what happens?
I just needed to restart hammer and SDK. Its working fine and compiling.
So does this mean we can use visclusters?
Just hit "reset game config" on the SDK Menu. CSS was moved to '09 engine.
