Today I was working on possibly the greatest looking maps I've ever done. Which I think given some more time might have been considered release worthy. One problem though, I saved my map progress, closed hammer and Steam, then shut down my system. I turn back on my PC, open hammer, and upon opening the file I saved and have been saving multiple times. I get an empty hammer grid... :suicide: I still have the bsp file from testing the lighting, doors and such. Is there anything I can do at all to get my map back? If not I guess it's two months of my life wasted.
Use the bsp with vmex...or open one of the autosave files that hammer creates periodically.
Check the hammer autosave folders. [editline]04:15PM[/editline] Ninja'd!
Did you make it on the 2007 engine? If so, hammer is bugging i guess.
[QUOTE=Firegod522;22517453]Check the hammer autosave folders. [editline]04:15PM[/editline] Ninja'd![/QUOTE] Where would I find the autosave folder at? I looked in.. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\MYNAMEHERE\sourcesdk_content C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\MYNAMEHERE\sourcesdk and I couldn't find the autosave folder. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\MYNAMEHERE\sourcesdk_content\cstrike\mapsrc And that's where I saved the original vmf. file to.
Its actually in C:\Hammer Autosave
