In-Game Props and Copyright

Hi,

I'm building a large city map and need props to use for detail. Evocity is an awesome map and has some great props built in, would it be considered okay to use them in my map? Do I need to ask permission from the creator of Evocity to use them? Do I just need to leave him/her credit?
