• The fuck is wrong with my doors, Falsly blocking the player!

Okay guys, My doors are not working properly, When in hammer they are setup correctly, as seen below. But, When in-game the doors appear to be shut, But are open, Ie I can shoot through them, shine light through them, etc etc. But are opened into the hallway, doing the reverse of what its supposed to. Map is leak free. This may confuse you, ask me questions maybe we can get this fixed. Sorry for low-quality map, Its a heavy wip. Its annoying, like a invisible wall blocking the hallways yet the doors are closed, when I "open" the doors, I can get passed the hallway yet doors appear to be open, yet the door is solid in the frame. Also, ingame if you cant see, the door "Appears to be closed" but I can get through
Take off noclip ::eng101: Okay seriously though. I remember somebody had this problem before. I don't quite remember what he did. I think he remade the door.
Immediate wild-guess ideas: Is the model custom or stock? If it's custom, it might have a bad .phys/collision model. Does this happen with all doors in your map or just this one? Hammer sometimes flakes out after being used for hours, try remaking the door and see if it still gives you problems. Is your door colliding with any brushwork or non-entity brushes? What flags do you have checked? And this one is more of a random query but, do you have a playerclip/nodraw brush in the doorway?
No, Just regular doors, they worked beware. Stock door01_left's. When the door is shut, It apears to be blocking the doorway, yet its fucked around and I can walk right passed the door, I guess I will end up remaking the doors. Also, Any tips on making the hallway not very repetitive? Its a regular plain concrete hallway. I want to make it look good. Not much I can do with it.
Are you possibly using prop_dynamics instead of prop_door_rotatings? I used to make that mistake all the time. :v:
Nope, But prop_dynamics would work if you set them up properly, prop_door_rotatings are the most efficient.
