We started by drawing the map, poorly, and then I went in hammer and did a very very basic map of the drawing. A week passed, and I now have some semi-detailed buildings, and a fully textured and playable map. We decided to fully detail an ally with entities and so forth and show it to you, but only one screenshot of one alley, that is it. For now. I would like to point out that when I add the 3d skybox this area will look a lot nicer and realistic in my opinion. I've used noclip to get to this point, so you will [B]not[/B] be able to see the nodraw surfaces in-game. I felt like this would you give you an overview of how the gameplay is supposed to go, and if you look closely you'll be able to see the very first alley we released an image of. I cant exactly see what is going on in the screenshot and since there is only 1 I cant get the best general idea of how the map plays or what it even looks like.

I'll post more pictures later, but for now I'd just like people to tell me how nice that ally looks :)

Thanks guys, replies like that warms my heart. Both me and mdeciever has put a lot of hours into this, so replies like that really means a lot to us. We're super exited to show you the rest of the map, and we hope you're just as exited to see it! You've only seen a small fraction thus far ;)

I kinda like the darkness of the map, made it look real evening like. You should do two versions, one in the day, and one in the evening or even night, your lighting looks real good

Looks good, dont know what people find so awesome about the lighting but okay. Would move the texture below the light on the second screen a bit, seems like the seam is exactly below the light.
I'm confused, if it's day time (as the sky suggests) why is it so dark and why are the street lights on?

If it's like midday though, there should be at least SOME light getting in.

I do agree though, the alley should be brighter.
