Excuse me if I got the file's extension wrong, but I was wondering if there is a Garry's Mod fgd which combines Half Life, Counter Strike, etc, or should I just open up the ones which are already available and access the map that way.
Also, so I don't make too many threads, what sort of mini games would you want to see in a map? Thanks for any feedback!
FGD's only contain entity data. Models/materials need to be ripped from the gcf's.
Only one fgd can be accessed at a time. In order to save time and pain, you can use the ep2 or css game configs. You do not need to make a gmod config to make gmod maps.
Alright, is there anywhere that I can get the files already, because I wouldn't know how to rip the models or materials.
That would carry severe legality issues.
Use gcfscape to open the gcf and extract the needed files into the folders of the selected game.
Lol ok, I wasn't sure if there could be legal repercussions or not since it was for personal use and all.
There is no proof that you actually own the title. Anything uploaded onto the internet would be uploading someone else ip. And valve don't seem to be the sort of people to mess with.
