• Is there any Garry's Mod Configuration for hammer?

Is there a Garry's mod configuration for hammer? One which would allow you to use all source textures, entities, models, ect?
Add the data files of the games you want.
i don't think there is one. though if you saved the vmf in one game config, then opened it in another, you could use the textures from that config on it.
For some reason, when I add the data files. The new models and textures doesn't appear. It only shows garrysmod and Hl2 textures/models.
just use a source game and add the materials/models manually.
When people say "data files" I'm assuming they mean .fgds. a .fgd only contains entity data (open one up, it's a text file!) You need to manually extract the models and materials from the gcf of the game and place them all under one source game (I use EP2 personally)
Ok, I'll try that. When I configured hammer to Gmod, I followed the tutorial from the gmod wiki. Don't know if that is outdated or something, but if it is, somebody should edit it.
As far as I know it hasn't ever worked without any problems for me. If possible, just go with Episode 2.
I always use Episode Two configuration, works charms. No special SENTs I want to pre-place either way.
Yes, just go with the EP2 config. It has the most features, in my opinion.

No need for a GMod config just use episode 2 and extract the content from other games.
Ask Valve to add support for multiple AdditionalContentID lines in gameinfo.txt files.

I updated my tutorial a week or two ago. I'm assuming it works and it's easy to follow because I haven't gotten any complaints yet. [url]http://duckytopia.wordpress.com/tutorials/setting-up-the-source-sdk-for-garrys-mod/[/url] Really, the Garry's Mod config is only useful if you want to only use HL2 content and custom content, and you are too lazy to copy the custom content between folders.
As others have said, Ep2 configs work fine, considering there is no real gamemode specializations for gmod. (assuming it's for gmod sandbox)

(assuming it's for gmod sandbox)[/QUOTE] And has already been said, even if the gamemode has requirements, a custom fgd takes about 5 minutes to write and add so you can have your own entities, or you can turn smart edit off and add them that way. EP2 is fine in all circumstances.
