Hello! There is a new community with a custom gamemode called Chase.
And i Happend to be making a map for them, and i am going to post some pictures here instead of in the request forum.

Subdivided displacements with noise! That's about all I can comment on.
As for critique, well I'd say play around with the displacement tool some more to make them look better. At this point it looks like you just followed a basic tutorial and called it a day. I'd recommend you look into blend textures and the alpha tool. You also forgot to connect a few of the displacements when you subdivided them, thus creating pointing corners. Good light work though! Before anyone else says it too, there's also the [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=959630"]Map Pimpage Thread[/URL], which is usually where people post their works in progress for commenting. Single threads are usually reserved for maps that are far along, deal with technical problems and experimental ideas, that kind of thing. It's not a rule, just some common courtesy. Keep working on it though and don't get discouraged!

About the displacements: i dont do much displacements, so thats why i did the subdivide.

Displacements are one of the most complicated tasks in Hammer for beginners. I reccomend you look at [URL="http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/1838"]all[/URL] of [URL="http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/32664"]Interloper's[/URL] many [URL="http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/2119"]tutorials[/URL] on the subject. Play around with it, test different things, and don't expect them to be perfect. Nature usually isn't either.

Yea i know that it's complicated *Sadface* but all i need to do is practice *Happierface*
