What I would call my first....."success" of mapping. My previous efforts have been failures due to optimisation issues and low FPS rates. However....none such here thankfully. Sorry :3[/I] The Outline - I intended this map for release in time with Terminator:Salvation, the new movie. However, I ended up completing it much quicker, because we quite simply needed a new map on the server ASAP. Took me about 1 and a half weeks total, including the few textures and stuff. The original concept was to create an outdoors roleplay map that would support a "conflict" style flow. A destroyed wasteland for the Human resistance to attempt survival in, with plenty of places to scout around, hide in, and most importantly, to conduct "event" style battles across, against Skynet. I started out with the opening scene of T2 in mind, blue/black night, a trenchline overlooking a battle against the Terminators. However, it just didnt look as convincing, and the dusk colour scheme just felt so much more convincing. So I settled on the more 2009-Terminator style. As for the map itself, it aint perfect, but its certainly playable. Ill be modest :3 Known issues - [I]Shallow water in the Bunker can crash people who stand in it for too long. A few holes in building walls that look out onto the skybox.....not too much of an issue really. 2 Ripped buildings from HL2 campagin. Not really standout, and besides i was in a hurry. Some texture maps missing if you dont have EP2 (mostly sand-like displacements turning to wireframe).[/I] Some info / pictures..... Just as a note, almost all custom stuff is included in the BSP. Left for dead props (airliner, truck, ambulance) DOD props (bunker and trench defences / camo nets)

That skybox fits perfectly with the rest of the map, it really brings atmosphere. This map is a real piece of artwork. Oh but there's 1 small little thing i noticed on the jeep hangar screen, it has a brick pillar supporting a metal ceiling. Just doesn't look right.

That harvester looks a lot like the darkwalker from UT3.

Yeh, it is the Dark Walker. We simply ripped it and rigged it to Strider animations. Kinda felt like it looked in the same style of the Skynet machines......or more like one of those from the Animatrix. The Terminator models are re-rigged version of that model we found on garrysmod.org, which was originally a CSS skin. We just snapped it onto an overwatch frame and hey-presto. (Much love to snood for helping with it all).
That explains the muzzleflash coming from out of nowhere.
Awesome map. Two things: 1. some textures are overlapping 2. lack of indoor nodes in places
And some buildings have missing sides.
This reminds me of The Pitt in fallout :P Greate map...

Actually, Anubis, those are the old and outdated skins. The newer ones are only found in the mega pack - We should probably see to pulling them out and hosting them seperately.

Nice map, well executed idea.
This map has a lot of small issues. I'll post screens later. Me and terrenteller noticed them when messing around in the map.
