I am sorry If I seem newbish, as I am just starting learning how to make maps. That is, I would be, if Hammer would work. When I start Hammer, using Source Engine MP as Engine and Team Fortress 2 as the Current Game, it seems to start fine. But when I click "New" under "File", it gives me the following message: "Failed to load the default scheme file. The map views may be missing some visual elements.", with the only option as OK. I click OK, and a window with four boxes in it pops up. When I click it, Hammer closes. If I click the main Hammer window, it closes. If I don't do anything, it closes. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

That's because the SDK wasn't updated to SteamPipe yet, like most of the Valve games (including TF2).
Open the file ...\Steam\steamapps\common\team fortress 2\tf\gameinfo.txt
Look for the line [code]SteamAppId 440[/code] and add another paragraph with [code]ToolsAppId 211[/code] after it.
