Last year, I posted this thread http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1221675 expecting to actually complete the project, but I never got around to it due to school, and me forgetting about it completely. I now expect to actually work on this and actually have a project that I expect to complete.
I wanted to start doing it again this year, but I haven't been able to because when I actually try to open up the hammer editor, it either stops responding and shuts down, or I get an error saying that it can't find the files for half life 2 or TF2 and I can't open anything. The solutions I found aren't helping and I don't know what to do.
Goals for the game
-Fix hammer editor (duh)
-Get someone to help me to/ write script for NPCs
-Get help on animations
-Maybe make the game MP, so you can help protect the VIP with your friends!
-Updated graphics using the Source Engine.
P.S. If you want to help with this project, shoot me a message on here and we can talk.
Multiplayer Black Shades sounds really nice. Good luck with this!
Go to your game directory. Go to bin. Open hammer.exe. Choose a game. Done.
Probably not the best time to be trying to kick this off.
I'd help, but the school+activities I'm involved in are going to literally strip away 85% of my free time.
If your running 64 Bit, then right click on source SDK and select Properties then click Set launch Options and type "-32bit" (Without quotation marks).

I'll try this when I get home, thanks for the info!

Same here, I've just laid out the base of the map and some base things so I know what I want to do.
