• Map Texture Failure while converting :(

Hello all :) i convert a map named cs_mercury from .BSP to .MAP and i load it in My Valve Hammer Editor but it doesn't open with its textures .. even though i load the used textures used by the map by my Hammer .. Can any one help me to load it with its texture ? i'm not familiar with goldsrc, but have you tried clicking on the thing that says "camera" in the top left corner of the 3d view and selecting "textured"?

Because I have a HUGE feeling its you in the solid 3d view instead of textured 3d view.

However, OP it seems that you are not including the packed textures into your hammer as well so you WILL be missing a lot of textures. If you do not know how to extract and repack a WAD here is a quick runthrough: [b]Open your BSP with either GCFscape or Crafty to dump the embedded textures into a folder(both methods shown here)[/b] [img]http://the303.org/imaeg/cstut1.png[/img][img]http://the303.org/imaeg/cstut0.PNG[/img] [img]http://the303.org/imaeg/cstut2.png[/img] [b]Using Wally, create a new HL wad and then grab all the textures and drop them in[/b] [img]http://the303.org/imaeg/cstut3.png[/img] [b]Save the WAD as cs_mercury or whatever you want in your cstrike dir[/b] [img]http://the303.org/imaeg/cstut4.png[/img] [b]Add the wads to your editor (im using Jackhammer)[/b] [img]http://the303.org/imaeg/cstut5.png[/img] Personally I highly recommend Jackhammer since it has a lot of cool new features.
