• ambient_generic simply ignores Max Audible Distance?

I tried setting the Max Audible Distance value to everything from 10 to 2000, and it seems to simply ignore what value I input and use some sort of default range (1250?) which is way, WAY too large. I can hear the looping sound like 50 meters from its source, even though I want it to be contained in just one small 3-meter room. Here are the property and flags of the ambient_generic: I tried searching for help online, but I can't find any real solutions or even reasons to why this is happening. I tried using different sound files, removing and re-creating the ambient_generic and enabling the "Start Silent" flag (using a simple trigger_once to turn it on), but the problem persists.
max audible distance is a real pain in the ass to get right, i tend to turn them into soundscripts for more audio options
Soundscripts override parameters from ambient_generic including max audible distance as well as Play Everywhere flag. You'll have to use direct file name.
Alright, thanks to Nicknine's post I figured out I should've used the sound file's actual physical path in "Sound Name" property. Thank you!
