• To those having current issues with the sdk due to the steampipe conversion

Yesterday in the hlds mailing list Mr. Dunn from Valve confirmed that in the following weeks (valve time) a new SDK(s) will be released to fix the issues of the steampipe conversion process. Image of email. If you are having trouble in the meantime and don't feel like waiting, try configuring the SDK to use Source2007. I'm currently using it for ZPS and other mods and can confirm it hasn't been effected (yet anyway). You may need to manually create a gameconfig.txt file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\USERNAME\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin" and set it up if your SDK won't let you select anything under 2007. NOTE: This should only be effecting anyone who maps for CSS, DoD:S, HL2:DM, TF2 and possibly Gmod (depending on your setup for it). Newer Source Engine games shouldn't be effected by this.
Thank you for passing this on. I also think this is the cause of everyone having a terrible time with CS:S unmounting/corrupting itself.
You just saved valve from 20k more emails :D
