• [GMOD] Player Model Creation Help.

(Firstly just a quick warning, this is my first thread so I might be partially retarded with placement). I have been trying edit the 'Materials' for a model that someone gave me over skype, (Phase 2 Clone Trooper btw) They wanted 501st looking model so I converted to .TGA's and edited all that stuff. My problem is that I can't seem to get the model to display the new Materials, it just displays the disgusting Black and Purple checkers. I couldn't find any solutions to this so any help would be nice!! Thank You! ~Cavalry Killer
This is more modeling related than mapping, so you can consider moving it to the modeling section. And AFAIK, materials for a model need to be in VTF form, not TGA.
The new textures (in form of .vtf's - use vtfedit to compile tgas into vtfs) need to be at the same exact file path as the original ones for the model and need to have the exact same name (you need to overwrite old ones).
