Lately ive been trying to get into map editing and have been trying to use the SDK hammer tool but every time i try and open it regardless of what game i am trying to load i get this error "the configuration information for the game you're trying to edit is invalid or missing". Does anybody know i can fix this?
I have played each game at least once especially counter strike
How are you trying to launch hammer? Be sure it's by double clicking hammer.exe in steam/steamapps/common/gamename/bin

origionally i was using SDK to launch it but everytime i would get the error so i will start doing this method from now on
