So I like making gmod maps for fun because I find it quite an enjoyable thing to do, yet its not fun when I can't compile them because of my potato PC (trust me its terrible and I want a full refund xD) So is there anyway I can compile a map without it blowing my shitty CPU up?
Load your maps base files, including all used content and go to another computer with a better setup to compile.
add -low in the compile options.

This. If you properly optimize your map you should be able to compile it even on a ten year old consumer pc.
