Hey guys, Now i need some help with porting a custom map from Jedi Academy to GMod. The thing i'm having trouble with is cutting the map into sections for GMod
I've been following this tutorial: http://gamebanana.com/tuts/11815
This is the map i'm trying to port: https://jkhub.org/files/file/1794-jedi-council-gcx/
and the tools i'm using are in the tutorial page
Anyone have a solution?
can you explain more about cutting the map into sections because the whole map fits into the Hammer grid fine
Wait you've converted it to a vmf? How did you do that? I converted it to a hl map file and opened it in crafty and i kept getting a malformed structures error

And what I mean by cutting it up is creating 4 copies of the same map and modifying it for each file
what i did was using Q3map2 made a shortcut of the Q3map2.exe and put on the target line of the shortcut -game ja -convert -format map jedicouncilgcx.bsp to get a Q3 .map file then i used Jackhammer editor to open the map then saved it as a hl1 .rmf file then using Gmod's hammer saved it as a .vmf and doing the require things you would do as if you were porting a hl1 map to hl2 https://www.dropbox.com/s/dw3kd35ctb5yar1/jedicouncilgcx.vmf?dl=0 make sure you use vtfedit to convert the textures
I'll give it a go
the link is to the vmf i did if you want it :)
I can't export it as a rmf on jackhammer

Now when I compile it I get this error "The system cannot find the file specified"

Do you know how to fix that? I haven't had that on Hammer in a long time
look up interlopers hammer editor log checker.
yeah check the compile log you could have a leak thats stopping the compile procces from finishing
Nevermind guys, Thanks so much for the help! xD I keep this as a reference next time I'm stuck
