[url]http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/127829[/url] That's the link with the download and more info. Its a smallish gungame map for Counter Strike Source. Right now some of the textures are orange and the lighting needs a little work. The thing about this map though is that the forts and cover except for the props are completely destructible. They chip away as bullets are fired into them and it creates a very fun and hectic multi player experience. Check it out and maybe try it for your server. Oh yeah, and the pictures, don't judge em by how shitty it looks, substance over style. Well its a release and help thread. I need to know what I need in the final release, but it is fully playable as of now.
Needs a lot of fixing, mainly texture choices and alignment.
3ksphilips or whatever his name was comes to mind.

It took forever making them breakable, and texturing would take even longer. I could do it but can you recommend a good texture?

I could do it but can you recommend a good texture?[/QUOTE] The current concrete is okay in my opinion, it's the metal above that needs work, and the dev textures need a lot of work. You could try texturing from photo reference for best results. Also 'Replace' will be helpful for replacing every single face using the same texture, though I kind of wish they implemented a way to select all using the same texture for editing alignment, scale and position.
Alright. I'm glad the concrete texture ok because that would be the hardest to retexture. I'll try to find some better metal textures and replace all the dev textures. I'll post the updates tommorow.

I don't get it guys, what the big whoop bout 3kliks mapping shit? I never read or watched any of his tutorials. I realize this map looks p. bad, and I have made better looking ones, but its not even a beta.

Sorry guys couldn't work on it today, felt like shit and am working on a english paper currently. I have given some thought into though and maybe I should just scrap the whole map, start a new level with destructible enviroments but maybe make it like an office or something? What do you guys think?
Sounds like a plan my man.
I know this is a big ass bump, but my mapping skill has increased greatly. I have since abadoned this map, but it has actually gained quite a bit of popularity. A lot of gungame servers are running it and more are adding it to their maps everyday. I have been working on a map with two buildings and bridge between them. It has destructible windows, selected walls, cubicles, ect. It's in the vein of Die Hard. I'll post some pics later.
if this is the kind of quality that gungame servers strive for in a map then i'm glad i don't play CS:S
Pretty sure I lied my ass off about that gungame server thing, but this map did get more than a couple thousand downloads. The mind of a 15 year dumb ass, amazing.
