You guys really need to listen up here. Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing is going to be done. Yes, the server may go back up however this is a 4 year issue that will not be resolved.
Official servers are for testing, only. Not really for any of your enjoyment whatsoever.
They are riddled with Hackers bugs and exploits. There is no Admin watching over. And do I really need to mention the downtime? Seriously guys, use community servers and stay away from Official.
You may give the reasons why you like Official and that is all good but know this, if you return to official and you still complain it is your own faults. Fair warning

Well nothings being tested for the past day as the servers have been down.
I don't think the server is actual down, I feel it's more so the fact no one can actual connect. Almost as if the server is receiving to many packets to handle already. A comment on the base decay, I got on for 5 minutes yesterday at 2pm but was kicked for packet flooding but my TC decay time didn't go past 8Am period which ultimately means we should all be safe from decay until the server is running perfectly fine again.

To be honest me and my friends thought that OFFICIAL servers were going to be better in terms of stability and hackers and stuff. I guess this is not the case.

Tbh they should make test server to do that on as alot of people are let down when they can play on the official servers, but there is no need for you to be aggressive towards everyone. :/

I personally find the official servers to have the best maps and a great longevity, this is reason enough for me to stay. I don't really come across too many hackers, bugs and exploits.
And I'm fine with the devs taking their time to fix this situation, but a reassuring one-line statement on Twitter for instance would still be a nice thing to have.

Min players number you can get (in day time) is 60 and its not bad for a 1 month wipe server!
That's how I feel! Yes it's down but people should appreciate the good in official servers and understand it will be hard running servers will thousands of users expecting something 24/7.

They do have a testing server, its the London staging branch so really official servers aren't for testing i have no idea what that guy is on about.
Sorry guys for the firm tone on the above., I needed to stress my point. Especially since I have seen this on a constant basis, day after day, week after week for years.
In a lot of ways, I agree with you guys. I have gone through the very same thing and had to conform to a different standard of playing Rust. I as well wish that FP would take a stance on this but alas...they never ever have.
This is also why I gave up three years ago trying.

See, what people only really want is "their" server online. They really could care less about the upteen other servers that are currently down. They are also ones who you only will hear from when "their" server is down. But take notice to this forum which you posted on. Take a good look at the last 3-4 pages alone and there you will see the constant complaints on Official servers. Russia Happis ,constantly down. Australia...down. EU down or DDos.
So with that said Mr.Ropain this isn't an issue of whether or not if FP will fix a situation,it is a matter of when it will happen again. If you are fine with this...by all means.But I must disagree with you. Just because your experience is good does not mean it "isn't" a situation. Community is FAR superior when you speak of Protected servers, Uptime, Admin or moderation.
Not really if achievements are only on these servers, they are designed to be played the testing branch servers are to be tested on.
Not every one selects those branches and that is not the only server offered. Sorry...moot point
