• NO HELP FOR BEGINNERS

There has clearly been no effort to help beginners to start the game. I spent an hour being continuously killed with nothing that I could do about it. If the developers haven't even thought about that then I don't think the game deserves any credit. Its a bad game and I want my money back!!
If you're constantly getting killed that means you're playing on a huge server. Pick a small server, you have to start small, you can't enter the game with no skill and expect to survive among 200 other players. Play on a server with 50 players max, with ~20 average online.
Sounds like you need a lethal injection of get_gud
When searching for servers, select Community servers. Look for servers with low populations, usually a limit of 50 is a good start. You'll need to try different servers out for yourself to find one that suits. It makes a big difference if you can find a server with a friendly active community. Download and install a free copy of Discord. Its a great group voice chat and text program that a lot of gamers use. I've found most Rust players I interact with regularly use it too. Some community Rust servers host their own Discord server, its a good sign when they invite you to join. Much easier way to explain things and help you out while in game. I've been part of two such communities this year. Sadly the first closed their server down after 6 months. After a couple of months of trialing servers I found one with a great community, friendly reasonable admins who have high integrity about using their admin powers and a growing group of friendly players. The server is advertised as new player friendly and we actively cut new players a break and some will come to show you the ropes and give you a good start. I'm happy to say its going really well and was pleased to have my friends join in the fun.
