I have this problem. The FPS drops to very small values from 120 to 10 and jumps up from 8-12 ms to 37 ms
My cfg: i7 7700k, gtx 970, 16gb ram, the game is on the SSD

Try updating your Graphics Drivers or installing the DX that came with the game in the steamapps folder

have a same microfreeze 1060 16gb ddr4 i5 6600
