What is this? Me and a couple of my friends experience the same exact error, the only thing we have in common are our video cards | GTX 750 Ti Gain-ware Gold Edition | the same exact model, so it might be the video card? The Error I start up the game, I select a server to join and I hop on in. After usually a Random.Range(5, 60) minutes the game just stutters for me then freezes, I can still move, I can still hear everything, hell I can even open my inventory and my little cursor will pop up. After waiting Random.Range(0, 120) seconds my game sends me a crash report ( I got quite a lot piled up) I don't have all of them because I usually just ALT + F4 since... well... I must relog quickly and help my friends with whatever we're doing, usually happens in battles and makes me wanna kill myself. The Temporary Fix The only temporary fix that does work is me reinstalling either windows or my drivers, I had to uninstall the nVidia drivers, then turn off windows auto driver update, uninstall my video card and then manually download different versions of my drivers. Files Here is my system information My Crash Files All of this data is from my computer, the only thing I and my friends have are the video card ( Same Exact Model ) I wild guess The fact that my ram is being eaten up faster than a cake at a children's party kind of hints me that the issue is less about the video card it self, and more about a memory leak? TL;DR Rust freezes but I can still move, the same thing happens to my friends and it happens every time we play. The only thing in common are our graphics cards. Quick rant This error isn't as common for videos on YouTube to be made about it, or for any kind of answer to be on the forums. I looked everywhere, google has no answers, steam no answers, and no one on this forum reported an issue like this, seen similar stuff, tried to apply the fixes that they suggested... but to no avail, I would truly appreciate some kind of fix for this, I tried using drivers from 1 - 2 years ago, and they still don't fix anything, even make my game run worse.
If anyone is experiencing this I have found a fix that can potentially work! I have emailed FacePunch support ( you should too if this fix doesn't work ) Go to Steam -> Library -> Right Click On Rust -> Proprieties -> General -> Set launch options... -> add these to your launch options -force-glcore If this still didn't work, I highly suggest contacting FacePunch support, they reply quickly. Thank you Orkel ♥
