Hi,
Last year I bought Rust and played on some servers without any issues or fps drops - I got stable 40fps on high details and the game was pretty smooth.
I took a break for about 8 months and came back to the game last week. I encountered that the game doesn't really go smooth at all - my fps are still somewhat stable (capped 60 on potato -and about 40 on high) but whenever I move my mouse it leads to an annoying screen flickering and the game is now almost unplayable. I never really changed anything at all in my HW. I thought I could capture it on a video but in the video seems everything all right.
Nothing crucial can be seen in the recording. So I guess it might do something with displaying on screen...

Do you guys know how to fix this? I'd like to come back to play my favourite game but at the moment I can't do so...
processor: i7 (2,5GHz (can increase to 3,3GHz))
RAM: 8 GB
graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M
Thanks for your advice
I have a same problem with the same graphics card
Very quickly, you turn the camera to focus more smoothly. Terrible shadows. It is possible for low shadow settings to be acceptable, the cascades are turned off and the quality of the shadows is at a minimum. Here the problems are more serious:
