Crafting Recipes compared to how the tool/weapon looks.
you legit just want the sword to be easier to get.... theres a reason it takes components and the machete doesnt
i'm a salvaged cleaver user, the only reason why i want the machete to cost a metal blade it looks like a metal blade w/ a handle, as said above.
its crafting requirements seem to be a reflection of how good it actually is. they'd have to make it better if they were to make it require higher quality materials for crafting, and then what would take its place? it serves a purpose as a lower-end bladed melee weapon.
sure, it might make more sense to use the 'metal blade' item but we can look at a lot in Rust and point out inconsistenices or things that would make more sense if they were done a different way.
tl;dr: it's a video game :^)
