Servers For New Players - Rust

Hello everyone, I recently have been trying to help some new player's work there way into Rust. However, things did not go so well. We went on a high population server, and we were getting slaughtered (from both hackers and legit rust players). I could tell the were getting impatient, so I decided it might be best to switch servers. So I was wondering if anyone knows of servers that are good for teaching new player's the ways of Rust. I understand that low population servers are usually good options. Are there any community or modded servers that you all could recommend for new players. Perhaps ones that don't focused solely on PvP, and open to helping new players. I know Rust itself is a harsh game, but I feel it cant hurt to bring new player's into the game. Thank you.

If you are new to the game, I highly suggest starting on a PVE server. Other players can not kill you, so you can build a base and learn the game without having to look over your shoulder. Some of these servers also have a "Purge" where it will change to PVP for the last 24 hours before a wipe. Searching PVE in modded should find you quite a few results. But let it search for servers for a minute or so first.

Your best bet is just to play the game however you'd like. There are now a plethora of tutorials to hold your hand, and frustration leads to either defeat or greater effort. If you play Rust complacently to learn it, you're going to have a real hard time getting into the groove of the game. Make some friends, die a whole lot, rage quit sometimes and keep coming back. But, as others have said, one quick search for "noob" in the server list brings up a plethora to find. Experience is the best teacher sometimes.

Elosan, I run a noob friendly server with many 4-5k+ hour players who spend a lot of time teaching and grouping with newer players. If you look up my name you can find us pretty easily. We have a plethora of resources available.

I second this. PvE servers are a great way to give new players a chance to learn the rudiments of the game systems with minimal danger. How to not starve, how to gather resources, how to build, what/why to build certain things. PvE will give an opportunity to get all those essential lessons out of the way before making the leap to PvP where each decision carries significantly more weight. Just go to Community and Modded servers and search for "PvE".

Best place to learn is a PVE Server.... I started on a PVP server and trying to learn and being ganked over and over was tiring, I joined a PVE server and people helped me out gave me tips and resources, ideas. I was able to learn the mechanics of the game and building.
