8 new skins bought today through the store and none will load in game. Out of my 17 pages of skins (worth well over £1000) maybe 10% are actually showing in game. Please fix
sell them
i cant even get the ingame itemcrafting to work, get some steamapps error codes on the left side of the screen, and it basicly freeze everything
why the fuck would you spend $1404.89 on fucking skins Jesus sell them and you can buy a new car or something thats fucking useful i can maybe see like $10 but fucking 1000 Jesus you must have taken your mom credit card to many times dude
I am having the same issue. A few skins are working, but most are just stuck on the blue recycle arrow icon.
I didn't spend that much. I play the market and invest in the right skins. The worth a few months ago was about £1200 and it has risen since then. I have spent about £400 - £500 well over doubling my money. Many games in game markets can be used in similar ways to make cash
It took me a while to work on the skin problem I had of them showing up, It's been so long I forgot what I did exactly to get them to show up. But I know it was something.. If I remember what I did I'll let you know.
Cheers dude it is appreciated. It happened a few wipes ago as well but was fixed in a couple of days. No joy so far this time unfortunatly
I'm making a thread in hopes to help fix it, go to that in the same section.
This guys, is why you should not spend that much money on a static object in a game. What if rust somehow destroys the game so you won't like it, or what if they decide that because there are also plugins that gives every skin they remove having to pay for skins? I just don't get why you should spend so much on it, and going salty if it breaks. Games are not for life, there will be a time you won't have time to game every week :p Imagine what you can buy if you hold that money on your bank account to buy a car or a house. If I knew what I know now, I also would save it for later! Living on your own costs a lot, and time flies when your getting older!
I get your point, but you need to remember that everyone has a different conception of what they like and want to do with there money. I work as a financial adviser and even if there is optimal ways on how you spend your money, I see few people making them. With 40$CA you can either go to a movie with popcorn/ go to a restaurent/ buy 20 skins/ invest in the market. In 10 years from now, if you always choose the same possibility you will be poor. From that I meen that if you choose to always invest your money, you will most likely be "experience/Fun" poor and will regret the lost time. if you always choose to spend your money ... then you will be "money" poor and might regret the fewer options ahead of you. It's all a question of balance and informed decisions.
I'm not saying that you should not do it, I'm only reacting on someone who says he spend 500-1000 on skins and complaining now that only 10% works. Almost demanding rust to fix it ;)
If you had read my other posts you would be aware that I have spent about £400 - £500. I could sell them now for over £1200. I make money from skins not lose it. "Almost demanding rust to fix it" Well I did request they fix it as their update broke them (again) and it is their product, they are selling so yeah.... they would be the obvious people to talk to, don't you think?...... Is explaining a situation and then saying please fix going salty? No, no it is not. "Imagine what you can buy if you hold that money on your bank account to buy a car or a house. If I knew what I know now, I also would save it for later!" Patronise much? You also seem to assume you are older than me for some reason..... I own a car and a house already thanks.
people who have mucked around in there skin downloads may have this issue, such as me. you can download the skins you want from the workshop tho
I have over 2500 skins.. having more skins doesn't make them not load. FP need to make some changes and hopefully this will be patched soon.
lmao what 2500 pls donate xD
yes, they should remove having to pay for skins because it makes people toxic when the (steam) workshop won't load in their game, what can also be the link to the workshop having troubles. That you spend 500 on skins won't make you any different than the average user, don't think your a "big important" customer and "they have to fix it soon, because I spend so much, I'm customer even more, they should fix it" Your just an average douche that tries to make money on skins and now is salty they won't work (games break, thats games, deal with it), spending so much on it won't make you special and does not add anything for the devs in how they work and how they fix.
You are talking to the wrong person dumbass it was me who mentioned spending 500 not officerjake..... No one implied that the amount they spent made any difference to anything (although it does make a large difference to the funds facepunch have available which can only help rust as a game, don't you think? or is that too logical for you?). The amount spent was only mentioned to correct one of your previous posts. No one has been salty or toxic other than you. The problem was mentioned and then politely a fix was asked for. You are not exactly covering yourself in glory here so if you have nothing helpful or of worth to add why not jog on? You do not want to be late for your day job of shouting at strangers at the bus stop....
Well the update has not fixed skins for me. It's even worse now, as some of the skins look like they have loaded, and then you put it into a repair bench and try to reskin it.. and nothing happens. Some of them load OK, but half of them do not. This is beginning to get ridiculous...
Hi ya. I was having the same problems. But yesterday after I validated Rust files and restarted Rust everything was working properly again. Hope its fixed for you all too now.
The newer skins are OK, they will load if you click once on them. But if you have any old skins, for example, the forest camo bandana mask, or desert camo, try and reskin them... it's impossible, you click them and nothing happens. Very annoying, and there are others that have done this too, just can't remember which items at the moment. I'll try verifying the files before I play next time, but have heard other people saying the same thing too.
DAMMIT. It was working yesterday. Just checked again now, the early release skins revert to vanilla, but later skins work. F7, Bug
I've updated my modded server and it hasn't fixed the skinning issue. I can't speak for any other modded server, but it may be a factor if you're on a modded server.
Yeah I will ask the admin to check about updating, cheers. I'll be so glad when this skin nightmare is over!
Skins at home work randomly. I go Co me a first time while walking I disconnect and reconnects and there the skins do not work anymore. Facepunch when a real update
OP clearly has more money than sense. That is a stupid amount to spend on skins.
Holy shit don't look at me then. I have over $5000 inventory :/ But yes, skins should work soon. Lets just keep reporting and they will find a way to patch it.. Spending more or less wont effect anything, just keep reporting the bugs so they can be fixed.
My furnace skins always disappear
1K AND 5K ON SKINS, OMG.. I spent 250 dollars and feel guilty and like a complete nerd. I have had some skins just "poof" from my inventory tho, for absolutely no reason. FP blames steam, steam blames FP, idk.
