I was banned VAC banned today on Rust. I have pumped 400 hours in the past 2 months and not one time have I cheated or hacked in any circumstances. I have seen than many people on the forums have also been falsely banned today. I remember many people being banned for having ahk on their computers in the summer and many of those bans where false positives. Could I be under the same boat as those people? Not saying that I have ever used ahk or anything.

I see that you have been copy and pasting that in all of the other threads. I trust the system will reverse the actions or at least give me a reason for a ban
I don't know dude, but I awoke today with the same issue.
Worked 398 hours into the game to receive an in-game VAC ban. I haven't used cheats of any sort, so this is really puzzling. Just an explanation for the bannings would be appreciated. I have a suspicion that salty players are actually falsely reporting others during firefights, given the introduction of the new report player button. which I'm not sure could be the case.

Nope just in the threads of people crying to be unbanned about their "Never Hacked" claims. The system works as intended.

Try appealing your ban in the correct place instead of crying on the Rust forums.
